PHOTO // BURROWING OWL
The first day of autumn brought me a burrowing owl on a cold and misty day. All alone with only the presence of its pellets scattered around its hole. It peeked its head out a few times, then was obviously intrigued by what I was doing and decided to completely come out and offer me a visit. Aside from the owl, a great blue heron was hunting alone in the wetland area while the rain fell. It’s slow and gentle movement through the water is like watching a strategic and carefully choreographed slow dance. Lastly, I came across a meadow in which a magpie was walking through. It seemed for no particular reason, just enjoying a stroll through the meadow while the rain slowly fell across its feathers.
