PHOTO // WILSON’S WARBLER

Birding. Observing Nature. Documenting. Three of my favorite pastimes. The woodland warblers will always be a favorite of mine. There is something about them. Maybe it’s their habitat that excites me. The woodlands. They visit and migrate through some of the most beautiful locations, which usually includes a piece of water nearby. They hop, fly, dart, skip, from tree to tree. Usually staying very well hidden in the midst of the green leaves and trees waiting for their perfect moment to pop out and usually catch an insect or two before going right back into hiding. The Wilson’s Warbler, with its black cap and striking yellow and very light green hues have been showing up in many locations throughout Colorado as they make their way south. I was able to make a few images of a beautiful Wilson’s perched but only for a brief moment as it made its way through the leaves and branches.
